Road Safety Week,2023: ARTO Shopian checks Retro Tapes on vehicles.
Provides tapes free of cost to drivers and counsels for adherence to all road safety measures.
Shopian,12 Jan: Under the Ongoing Road Safety Week, in order to aware road users on various road safety measures, Motor Vehicles Department today took a series of activities.
Team led by ARTO Shopian, Muazzam Ali today checked vehicles for mandatory fixing of Retro Tapes, which acts as an effective deterrent against collisions during night travels.
Dozens of vehicles were checked and asked to fix the Tapes and drivers counselled to fix the same on their vehicles in order to avert losses occurring due to night travel collisions.
Various vehicles were on spot provided these Retro Tapes, free of cost by the department and fixed on their vehicles.
Besides,road users were appealed by the team to adhere to measures which are mandatory in making safe travels and asked to exhibit optimum driving behaviours in order to avert losses to life and vehicles.
