DDC member visits Sumbal to listen to public grievances

Bandipora, June 14 : The  District Development Council (DDC) member from Sumbal, G N Amber Monday visited Zonipora, Asham villages in Bandipora district and met several public delegations.

In a statement, Amber took stock of the irrigation facilities for farmers in their paddy fields during the season and also inspected PHE filtration Plant Zonipora Asham.  During his visit, several public delegations met the DDC member and apprised him about several issues being faced by them.  "The residents gave him a detailed report of problems faced by them which included a list of roads in dilapidated conditions for which they sought immediate renovation from the DDC," reads the statement.

"Moreover he met multiple delegations belonging to agriculture & Horticulture sectors too and heard their issues & assured them to overcome them very soon. Villagers also briefed him about the shortage of electricity transformers which needed to be installed to overcome the prolonged power crisis in the village." 

They also briefed him about the shortage of water pipes in the area and those which needed to be replaced so as to meet the regular water supply demands. They also said the embankments of nallah have been weakened and needed immediate attention of the authorities.  DDC, G N Amber assured the villagers that he will take these issues with the higher officials and will redress these problems at the earliest.
