Poviding respite to people in crisis, Xiaomi India Felicitates Kashmiri Student Activist in Mumbai

Srinagar, Jan 16:  Xiaomi India Saturday felicitated the Kashmiri student activist Nasir Khuehami for his exceptional work during Covid-19 lockdown.

Khuehami was felicitated in Mumbai for his relentless work in the unprecedented times of uncertainties. Xiaomi India appreciated the role of Student Activist to reach the unreached parts of the country and provide Food, Accomodation and playing vital role in evacuating Students across the country. 

Over 15 Covid Warriors were also felicitated including Bollywood Actor Sonu sood and prominent pomedian Vir Das for their relentless efforts on this occasion. They were felicitated with a certificate of appreciation and will be featured in the Yearly Calender of Xiaomi India. Officials of Xiaomi India said, that it was gesture to acknowledge the hard work of people from different spheres of life who have put public health ahead of their own self-interests. The role of these Warriors is highly laudable. 

During this difficult time, the Country witnessed many individuals coming together to support their local communities through various outreach activities. Like many other Covid warriors across the country, Nasir Khuehami, Spokesperson of J&K Students Association from Kashmir Valley also decided to step up and join the front line workers. It will be pertinent to mention here that Khuehami helped migrants, Labourers, and Students to reach their homes through out the pandemic.

Expressing his happiness over the honour, the Student Activist thanked Xiaomi India and Bollywood Film Producer Atul Kasebekar for encouraging efforts. "I believe it was my duty to help my people and my responsibility which I did and Inshallah I won't stop till my last breath", Nasir said. 

Khuehami said, "I am incredibly honoured and humbled and grateful for all the brave individuals that stood together along with me to provide relief to the needy. This is a rare honour. I have done whatever little I could have done with modest means and capacity".
