Bandipora, 07 Dec : A garment shop was gutted in fire Mishap at Khadim market area in north Kashmir Bandipora district on monday evening.
Witnesses told that the fire broke out in a shop Royal Fabrics at around 08:00 Pm, resulting in damage worth lakhs of rupees.
Thick black smoke began to emanate from the shop and within seconds the entire shop was engulfed in fire. Efforts by the shopkeepers, neighbours and the public to douse the fire proved futile.
Meanwhile, Fire and emergency services rushed to the spot managed to extinguish the fire and prevented it from spreading further.
An official said fire mishap said no loss of life was reported in the mishap, he said the cause of fire was not known immediately.
