Another patients from Jammu succumbs to Coronavirus in JK
75- year old man becomes 11th victim of the disease in the UT
Jammu, May 13: A 75-year old corona positive patients from Jammu division succumbed to the disease on Wednesday marking the 11th Covid related death in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials told CNS that the patient breathed his last in his residence in Preet Nagar area Digiana of Jammu division.
The man was shifted to GMC Jammu on Tuesday evening by around 8 pm, where he was declared brought dead, however his samples were taken and the body was retained by the hospital, to wait for the results.
After his results came positive, the dead body was handed over to the authorities to carry out the last rites, under the prescribed protocols, related to Covid-19 deaths.
The death of the septuagenarian on Wednesday is the11th death due to novel coronavirus reported from Jammu and Kashmir.
In Jammu and Kashmir, So far 4 deaths have been recorded from Srinagar district, 03 from Baramulla district and 01 each from Bandipora, Udhampur and Anantnag districts.
