Over 200 PDP, NC workers Join Congress in Bandipora; Usman Majid
Says Congress will register massive victory in 2019 under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad
BANDIPORA, FEB 10: The Bandipora chapter of Indian National Congress on Sunday claimed that over 200 political workers and activists of National Conference and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) joined Congress in Bandipora in presence of Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Former MLA Bandipora Usman Majid.
In a statement issued today, Spokesperson said that former MLA Bandipora Usman Majid congratulated welcomed 200 political activists in the Congress party and said it is the Congress Party alone which has served the people to the best of their ability, as it feels duty bound to the wellbeing of the people in all the three regions.
He said that Congress Party will continue to work for overall development of the State and that the Congress believes in uniting people thereby bridging the gaps among the communities created by communal forces in order to serve their vested interests. He said that the doors of the party are always open for those who believe in the program and policies of the Congress and have faith in its leadership.
Majid said strengthening hands of the Congress party is the need of the hour and maintained that Congress will register massive victory to form a stable government in 2019 under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad.
The spokesperson quoted workers as saying that they were fed up with the communal forces nurtured by PDP and NC who wanted to divide the society. “New Entrants attributed their joining into Congress to the miserable attitude of NC, PDP towards public concerns and truthfulness in the politics of Congress and dynamism of Former MLA Bandipora Usman Majid to seek equitable development, peace and prosperity for the area,” the statement reads.
