Pampore, Oct 12: The Gagandeep Welfare Foundation Mumbai held a public darbar in Pampore on Monday, offering residents a platform to raise grievances and discuss issues related to community welfare and development.
The programme was attended by Gagandeep Singh, an actor and minority leader from Mumbai who heads the foundation, its J&K president Younis Masoodi, and other members and workers of the organisation.
Speaking to Kashmir Convener, Singh said the public darbar was organised to understand the problems faced by local residents and make efforts to address their concerns.
“Our aim is to help the poor and needy and work towards resolving their problems. With the support of our State President, Younis Masoodi, we are making efforts to assist local residents. Wherever necessary, we also take up their grievances with the government and extend support through our foundation,” he said.
Singh said the foundation would use its network and resources to assist people in need and take up their concerns wherever possible.
He said the organisation planned to hold similar programmes in other areas to reach more people and understand their grievances.
According to Singh, the Pampore public darbar was the foundation’s first such programme in Kashmir. It was intended to provide residents an opportunity to raise their concerns and seek assistance from the organisation.
