Rahat Bashir’s ‘Bandpur Naama’ and Hamid Ghuraiq’s ‘Aakhri Pyar Ka Firaq’ released in Bandipora

Bandipora, October 5: Two literary works, including a Kashmiri-language booklet on Bandipora and a poetry collection, were formally released at a literary event organised by the Chief Education Office, Bandipora, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.

Bandpur Naama, the debut booklet by Rahat Bashir, reflects on Bandipora’s history, people and cultural heritage, according to the author.

Bashir described the release as an important milestone in his literary journey and said the booklet was an expression of his attachment to his homeland and its historical and cultural background.

He expressed gratitude to members of the literary fraternity, the Cultural Academy, the Chief Education Officer, Bandipora, and his mentor, Dr Reyaz-ul-Hassan, for their encouragement, guidance and support.

Bashir said he hoped Bandpur Naama would mark the beginning of a longer literary journey and dedicated the work to those who believe in the importance of literature and the power of words.

On the occasion Aakhri Pyar Ka Firaq, a poetry collection by government teacher and poet Hamid Khan Ghuraiq was also released. The collection deals with themes of love, separation, memories and human emotions.

The event brought together writers, poets, teachers and literary enthusiasts and provided a platform for the authors to present their works.
