Two teenagers, including a boy and a girl have reportedly jumped into a Power Canal in the Thune area of Kangan in Ganderbal district.
The boy has been identified as Irshad Ahmad Kahi, son of Mohammad Shareef Kahi, resident of Thune, Kangan, while the identity of the girl was hitherto unknown. Both are reportedly around 16 years old.
According to the reports, SDRF teams from Ganderbal and Gund have jointly launched a search and rescue operation to trace and retrieve the bodies.
At the time of filing this report, the search operation was still underway.
