Anantnag, Sept 5: The fifth edition of the Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji Cricket Tournament, organised by United Singh XI Anantnag, is underway at Sports Stadium Mattan, bringing together 16 teams from across Jammu and Kashmir.
An official spokesperson while talking to Kashmir Convener said that the tournament, being organised for the Sikh minority community, has received strong local support, with matches being played daily amid enthusiastic participation from players and spectators.
The tournament is being organised under the banner of United Singh XI Anantnag, which has been promoting “Sports For All” since 2016.
Spokesperson said that the tournament aims to promote brotherhood, sports culture and a drug-free society while providing Sikh youth with a platform to showcase their cricketing talent.
The organisers said the event is intended not only to encourage sporting talent but also to strengthen community participation and promote healthy engagement among young people.
