Khelo India Samvaad Held in Baramulla; Youth Engage in Nationwide Interaction with PM

Baramulla, August 27: As part of the National Sports Day 2026 celebrations, a Khelo India Samvaad , “Khel Ki Baat, PM Modi Ke Saath” was held in Baramulla today, providing young participants an opportunity to connect with the nationwide youth engagement programme and listen to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address through video conferencing.

Organised under the aegis of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), the initiative brought together youth, sports enthusiasts and MY Bharat volunteers to deliberate on the role of sports, fitness and youth participation in nation-building.

The Prime Minister addressed young participants through video conferencing and highlighted the importance of developing a fit, disciplined and sporting nation while encouraging youth to contribute their ideas and aspirations towards building a Viksit Bharat.

The Samvaad focused on key themes including strengthening India’s sports ecosystem, nurturing talent with an eye on the 2036 Olympics, promoting youth leadership and volunteering, empowering young people with future-ready skills, and advancing the Nasha Mukt Yuva movement.

The programme also provided a platform for young participants to share their perspectives and aspirations, while highlighting the role of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, leadership and a healthy lifestyle.

The nationwide initiative seeks to place youth aspirations at the centre of India’s sporting and development journey and encourage greater participation of young people in nation-building.

The event concluded with a renewed call to the youth to embrace sports and fitness, develop leadership qualities and actively contribute towards the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
