Srinagar, August 22: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Saturday conducted an operational review of Temporary Operating Bases (TOBs) in the Chattergul and Wangat areas of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The DGP was accompanied by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Kashmir Range, during the visit.
The senior officers took stock of the operational preparedness, functioning and security arrangements at the temporary bases and reviewed the overall security situation in the areas, spokesperson said.
The visit focused on strengthening operational readiness and coordination among security forces deployed on the ground, while ensuring that the forces remain prepared to respond effectively to any emerging security challenge.
The review assumes significance in view of the strategic importance of the areas and the need for sustained vigilance and effective field-level coordination.
