Ganderbal, Aug 21: An 18-year-old youth from Srinagar is feared drowned after reportedly slipping into the Nallah Sindh while taking a bath near the Dumping Park at Kijpara in Kangan area of Ganderbal district on Friday.
The youth has been identified as Danish Bilal, son of Bilal Ahmad Hajam, a resident of Hafiz Bagh near Kashmir University, Srinagar, Srinagar.
According to reports, the incident occurred while the youth was bathing in the waterway. Following the incident, police from Kangan and local residents rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to locate him.
Efforts to trace the missing youth were underway at the time of filing this report. [KNT]
