RECPDCL Hands Over Luhri Power Transmission SPV to Terralight Solar Energy

New Delhi, Aug 21: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has handed over Luhri Power Transmission Limited, a project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), to successful bidder Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited.

The SPV was handed over on August 21 following the completion of the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL for the development of the “Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from Sunni Dam HEP and Luhri Stage-I HEP” on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

The SPV was handed over by RECPDCL HoD (CS) Rajkumar Sonkar to Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited General Manager (Bidding) Nitin Mahajan in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.

The transmission project envisages the establishment of a 400/220 kV GIS Nange Pooling Station in Himachal Pradesh, along with a 50-km 400 kV Nange Pooling Station–Koldam double-circuit transmission line and associated works.

The project is scheduled for commissioning by October 15, 2029, in alignment with the generation schedule of the Sunni Dam and Luhri Stage-I hydroelectric projects.

The estimated cost of the transmission project is Rs 839.55 crore.
