Security Forces Conduct Joint Mock Drill at Railway Station Panzgam to access Emergency Preparedness

Awantipora, June 25: As part of the security and preparedness measures for the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra, a joint mock drill was conducted at Railway Station Panzgam by Awantipora Police in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP), Indian Army’s 55 RR, Fire & Emergency Services, and the Health Department.

The exercise aimed at assessing emergency response capabilities, testing inter-agency coordination, and evaluating the effectiveness of standard operating procedures during crisis situations. Various emergency scenarios were simulated, enabling participating agencies to practice coordinated response mechanisms and ensure swift action in the event of any untoward incident.

The drill witnessed active participation from all stakeholder agencies, demonstrating a high level of preparedness and operational synergy. Officials emphasized the importance of such exercises in strengthening response systems and ensuring the safety and security of passengers and pilgrims during the forthcoming Yatra.
