Baramulla, June 21: The Dagger Division of the Indian Army successfully organised a large-scale National Integration Programme across Uri, Sopore and Baramulla in North Kashmir from June 15 to 20, 2026.

The week-long programme witnessed the participation of over 7,500 students from 120 government and private schools, belonging to the impressionable age group of 16 to 18 years. The initiative aimed to inspire young minds with the values of patriotism, unity in diversity, leadership and responsible citizenship.

Conducted under the flagship programme “Mera Desh Meri Pehchan” in collaboration with the Lakshya Foundation, the initiative focused on the psychological integration of youth with the national mainstream, encouraging them to identify with the nation and the National Flag as a symbol of shared identity, pride and belonging.

A series of interactive sessions, motivational talks, educational activities and cultural engagements were conducted to encourage students to appreciate the rich cultural heritage of the nation while strengthening the spirit of national integration. The programme also provided a platform for meaningful discussions on leadership, social responsibility, nation-building and the role of youth in shaping a progressive and united India.

The successful conduct of the programme reflects the Indian Army’s Dagger Division’s continued commitment towards empowering the youth and fostering a sense of national pride, unity and collective progress among the younger generation in North Kashmir. Through such initiatives, the Army continues to strengthen its bond with the people and contribute towards creating an informed, confident and responsible generation committed to the nation’s growth and development.
