PULWAMA, June 20: As part of its ongoing efforts to curb illegal mining and protect public resources, Pulwama Police intercepted machinery and a vehicle allegedly involved in unauthorized extraction of sand in the Wasoora area.
During the operation, a JCB machine bearing Chassis No. HAR3DXSSC02603614 and a dumper bearing Registration No. JK19A-6998 were found engaged in illegal extraction of sand. The JCB machine and dumper were seized on the spot.
Subsequently, Case FIR No. 79/2026 under relevant provisions of law has been registered at PS Litter and investigation has been initiated to ascertain all facts and circumstances connected with the case.
Pulwama Police reiterates its commitment to preventing illegal mining activities and ensuring the protection of public property and natural resources. Citizens are encouraged to report such violations to the nearest police establishment.
