St. Joseph Baramulla hosts inter-school conclave, emerges overall champion

Baramulla, Jun 11: St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Baramulla, on Wednesday hosted ‘STEAM–2026’, an inter-school conclave aimed at fostering innovation and creative excellence in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, with students from leading educational institutions across the Kashmir Valley participating in the event.

Participating schools included Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School Srinagar, Biscoe Boys Higher Secondary School Srinagar, Kashmir Valley Higher Secondary School Srinagar, Burn Hall Higher Secondary School Srinagar, and Baramulla Public Higher Secondary School, officials said.

The conclave featured quizzes, debates, and model exhibitions, providing a platform for students to demonstrate their problem-solving skills and knowledge. Participants engaged in healthy competition and exchanged ideas, they added.

Speaking to media, Principal Suresh Brattu emphasised the importance of STEAM education in preparing students for future challenges and fostering innovation-driven learning. He appreciated the enthusiasm of all participating schools and stressed the need for such academic platforms to nurture young talent.

In a notable achievement, St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Baramulla, emerged as the overall champion of STEAM–2026 and lifted the Winners’ Trophy, the organisers said.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks to participating schools, teachers, students, and organisers for making the conclave a success.
