Halqa Adab Sonawari Hosts ‘Katha Batha’ Session with Al Haj Ghulam Nabi Dar

Hajin, June 10: Halqa Adab Sonawari on Wednesday organised a special session of its ongoing literary series, “Katha Batha”, at the residence of senior member Al Haj Ghulam Nabi Dar in Hajin, bringing together writers, scholars and literary enthusiasts for an interactive discussion on his life and contributions.

The programme featured an in-depth conversation on various aspects of Dar’s personal, literary and social journey. Participants explored different phases of his life, his role in literary and community activities, and the experiences that shaped his work and public engagement.

Among those present were noted educationist, writer and intellectual Prof. Shaad Ramzan, veteran writer and critic Prof. Mohammad Zaman Aazurda, President of Adabi Markaz Kamraz Mohammad Amin Bhat, General Secretary Shabnam Tilgami, Patron of Adabi Markaz Kamraz Dr. Rafiq Masoodi, and members of Halqa Adab Sonawari.

During the interaction, participants posed questions relating to Dar’s life, experiences and contributions. He responded to the queries by sharing personal reflections and insights from his literary and social journey, leading to a detailed exchange of ideas and experiences.

The organisers said the programme was part of the organisation’s continuing efforts to document and highlight the lives and contributions of individuals associated with literature, culture and public service in the region.

According to Halqa Adab Sonawari, the session will be uploaded to its official YouTube channel to allow a broader audience to access and benefit from the discussion.

The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Riyaz-ul-Hassan, while technical support was provided by Majid Majazi.

Organisers said the “Katha Batha” series aims to create a platform for dialogue and documentation by engaging with prominent personalities and preserving their experiences for future generations.
