Ganderbal, May 26: In view of the upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Adha and the anticipated increase in public movement near picnic spots, riverbanks and tourist destinations, Ganderbal Police has installed safety and awareness banners at various vulnerable locations along the banks of Nallah Sindh across the district.

The initiative has been taken as a precautionary measure to sensitise the general public, tourists and local residents about the importance of following safety guidelines while visiting water bodies during the festive occasion.

The banners display important advisories and precautionary measures aimed at preventing accidents, drowning incidents and other mishaps near riverbanks. People have been advised to avoid venturing into deep waters, refrain from engaging in risky activities near the river, and ensure proper supervision of children during outings.

Ganderbal Police has appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration and strictly adhere to all safety instructions to ensure a safe, peaceful and joyous Eid-ul-Adha for all.
