DIG South Kashmir Reviews Security Preparedness for SANJY-2026 at Coordination Meeting in Anantnag

Anantnag, May 25: Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Kashmir Range, on Sunday chaired a Security Coordination-cum-SANJY preparedness meeting at the Range Police Headquarters in Anantnag to review the prevailing security situation and discuss arrangements for the upcoming SANJY-2026.

The meeting was attended by senior officers from various security agencies, including Brigadier Sector 1 RR, DIG BSF Panthachowk, DIG ITBP SHQ Panthachowk, DIG CRPF Ops Range Anantnag, DIG CRPF SKOR Awantipora, SSP Anantnag, SSP Kulgam, SSP Awantipora, Commanding Officers of 3 RR, 40 Bn CRPF, 18 Bn CRPF and 116 Bn CRPF, besides SP Ops Anantnag, DCIO Anantnag, DySP CI Anantnag and DySP SB Anantnag.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the prevailing security scenario in South Kashmir and the security as well as logistical arrangements being put in place for SANJY-2026. The officers reviewed emerging threats, counter-measures, deployment plans and preparedness strategies to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of the annual event.

Emphasis was laid on maintaining close coordination and seamless synergy among all security agencies. The participants also stressed the need for enhanced intelligence sharing, heightened vigilance and proactive measures on the ground.

The meeting concluded with all agencies reaffirming their commitment to work in close coordination to ensure foolproof security arrangements and peaceful conduct of SANJY-2026.
