Bandipora, May 21: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference District President Bandipora Dr Zahoor Ahmad Sofi on Thursday chaired a meeting with party workers and members of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) in Malangam block of Bandipora district to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and gather feedback on local governance and developmental issues.

The meeting was attended by party functionaries, former sarpanchs, panchs and local workers, including NC Zonal Secretary North Tanveer Bhutoo and spokesperson Ghulam Hassan Mir.

In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, party spokesperson said workers were briefed about the performance and achievements of the government and were urged to take the message to the grassroots level.

Dr Zahoor further said similar outreach meetings would be organised in every block of the district to receive direct feedback regarding governance and listen to public grievances so that the concerns of the people could be effectively communicated to the authorities for timely redressal.

The participants also discussed various local developmental issues and emphasised strengthening grassroots-level public outreach and coordination within the party structure.
