MLA Nizamuddin Bhat Reviews ₹1.90 Cr Development Plan in Mangnipora

Bandipora, April 22: Mangnipora in Aloosa has been designated as a Viksit Village, with an estimated outlay of approximately ₹1.90 crore proposed for the comprehensive development of the village.

An official spokesperson said the proposed works include the development of a playground, establishment of a library, construction of an Anganwadi Centre, and upgradation of village roads, besides other allied developmental interventions aimed at improving civic amenities and public infrastructure in the village.

In this connection, the MLA Bandipora, Nizamuddin Bhat, accompanied by the Block Development Officer Aloosa, Ulfat Ali, and the former Vice Chairperson DDC Bandipora Shabnam Kounsar visited the proposed project sites at Mangnipora and undertook an on-the-spot assessment of the locations earmarked for execution of the works. Constituency In-Charge Inam Bhat was also present on the occassion.

During the visit, the dignitaries held a detailed interaction with members of the local community and took first-hand feedback regarding developmental priorities and public grievances.

The MLA assured the residents that the proposed works would be executed in a time-bound and transparent manner, with due emphasis on quality and public participation. He further stated that the designation of Mangnipora as a Viksit Village would usher in holistic development and uplift the overall standard of living of its inhabitants.

The programme also doubled as an outreach activity under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), wherein a pledge was administered to the gathering to abstain from substance abuse and to work collectively towards making the village, and the district at large, drug-free.

 The MLA underscored the need for sustained community participation in combating the menace of drug abuse, particularly among the youth, and called upon the villagers to extend full support to the ongoing anti-drug drive of the District Administration.

The interaction concluded with a renewed commitment from the public representatives and officials to ensure timely execution of the sanctioned works and to take the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to every household of the village.
