Srinagar, April 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Haj Committee on Tuesday announced that Haj flight operations for 2026 will commence from Srinagar on April 18, with three flights scheduled on the opening day.

According to an official notification, pilgrims have been assigned specific reporting windows at Haj House, Bemina, to ensure smooth embarkation. Passengers of flight QP-7521 have been asked to report between 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM, those on QP-7520 between 8:15 AM and 8:45 AM, and pilgrims travelling on QP-7519 between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM.

Officials said adherence to reporting timings is mandatory, warning that delays could disrupt the schedule of entire batches. Pilgrims have been advised to carry original passports, visa copies, and valid health or vaccination certificates. Standard baggage rules will apply, and restricted items will not be permitted as per airline guidelines.

Executive Officer of the Haj Committee, Shujat Ahmed, said a total of 4,704 pilgrims from the Union Territory will undertake the pilgrimage this year. Of these, 3,990 pilgrims, including 323 from Ladakh, will depart directly from Srinagar, while around 1,000 pilgrims will travel via Delhi and 50 via Mumbai.

Officials said flight operations from Srinagar are expected to continue for 10 to 15 days, subject to operational requirements. Schedules for subsequent batches will be issued separately.

Authorities stated that arrangements have been made to facilitate smooth movement and processing of pilgrims at the embarkation point.
