Khyber Cement Partners Census 2027 Summit in Jammu, Backs Digital Governance Push

Srinagar, April 11: Khyber Cement has joined as a supporting partner for the Census 2027 Summit held in Jammu, an event focused on shaping India’s digital and technology-driven census framework.

The summit, titled “Census 2027: Shaping India’s AI-Driven Future,” was hosted by the Directorate of Census Operations for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and organized by Governance Now, bringing together administrators and technology experts to discuss the roadmap for a digital-native census.

The event was attended by senior officials including Atal Dulloo and Amit Sharma, along with participants from governance and technology sectors.

Officials at the summit discussed the integration of digital tools, data systems, and artificial intelligence in conducting future census operations, aimed at improving efficiency and accuracy.

Speaking on the association, Umar Tramboo said the partnership reflects a commitment to both infrastructure and technological development in the region.

The company said its involvement aligns with broader efforts to support regional development initiatives, particularly those linked to urban infrastructure and emerging technologies.

The Census 2027 exercise is expected to mark a shift toward a more digitized and technology-enabled data collection system in India. [KNT]
