Mother of Senior Journalist Mudasir Ahmad Khan Passes Away

Srinagar, Oct 22: The mother of senior video journalist Mudasir Ahmad Khan, associated with Greater Kashmir (GKTV), passed away after a brief illness at her residence in Bagh-e-Mehtab on the outskirts of Srinagar.
Family sources said she had been unwell for some time and breathed her last on Tuesday evening. Her funeral prayers were attended by hundreds of mourners, including relatives, neighbours, colleagues, and members of the journalist fraternity. She was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard amid emotional scenes.
The Kashmir Video Journalists Association (KVJA) expressed deep sorrow over the demise, describing it as a personal loss to the media community. “The KVJA mourns the loss of Mr. Mudasir Ahmad Khan’s mother, a senior video journalist at GKTV. We extend heartfelt condolences to him and his family during this difficult time. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” the association said in a condolence message.
The Jammu and Kashmir Journalists Association and news agency Kashmir News Trust also expressed their sympathies with Mudasir Khan and his family, praying for strength and patience to bear the loss.
Prayers were offered for the departed soul, and several media bodies have planned to visit the bereaved family to offer condolences. [KNT]
