Jammu, June 6: The Dogra Regimental Centre proudly conducted the Passing Out Parade and Attestation Ceremony of its 5th Agniveer Course on June 4, 2025, at the historic Jamedar Lala Parade Ground.

An official spokesperson said a total of 402 Agniveers officially joined the ranks of the Indian Army after successfully completing 31 weeks of rigorous training.

The parade, marked by military precision and grandeur, was reviewed by Major General Anupam Baghi, Additional Director General of Rashtriya Rifles. Brigadier Jitendra Sharma, Commandant of the Dogra Regimental Centre, along with other officers, civil dignitaries, family members, and proud parents of the Agniveers, attended the event.

The training for the 5th Agniveer Course began on November 1, 2024, and concluded on June 4, 2025. The comprehensive training regime included tactical and physical drills, weapons handling, battle craft, and endurance exercises. A strong emphasis was placed on discipline, teamwork, and the core values of the Indian Army.

A major highlight of the training was a weeklong field exercise conducted under realistic combat conditions. Agniveers were made self-sufficient for 72 hours in field environments and underwent a series of tactical missions. The exercise culminated in the demanding 40-kilometre ‘Josh Run’, designed to test the trainees’ stamina, grit, and willpower.

Taking the oath of allegiance, the young soldiers pledged to serve the nation with honour and uphold the values of the Indian Army. The occasion marked another milestone for the Dogra Regimental Centre, which continues its legacy of producing valiant and disciplined soldiers.

The induction of the 5th batch of Agniveers into various battalions of the Dogra Regiment was hailed as a proud moment for the institution and the families of the newly attested recruits.
