CM Yogi Adityanath Assures J&K Minister of Safety for Residents in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, April 28: J&K Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow to discuss concerns over the safety of Jammu and Kashmir residents following the recent Pahalgam terror attack.

During the meeting, Rana raised the issue of ensuring the security and well-being of students and businessmen from J&K currently residing in Uttar Pradesh. He emphasized the need for political unity in the wake of the attack and stressed the importance of urgent measures to protect J&K residents across the country.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured Minister Rana that the safety and security of all citizens, including those from Jammu and Kashmir, remain a top priority for the Uttar Pradesh Government. He informed that clear instructions have been issued to the administration at all levels to maintain a peaceful environment, particularly on educational campuses.

Adityanath further assured that the UP Government is actively monitoring social media platforms to curb any incidents of hate speech and maintain communal harmony across the state.

Minister Rana is among four Cabinet Ministers deputed by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to coordinate with different state governments regarding the safety of J&K students and residents following the Pahalgam incident.
