Jammu, February 20: The Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) on Thursday extended heartfelt gratitude to the Education Minister of J&K, Sakeena Masood Itoo, and the Administrative Secretary, Shantmanu, for fulfilling their commitment to ensuring the promotion and postings of Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) before the commencement of the new academic session.
While congratulating the newly promoted ZEOs, JKTF State President Sheikh Mohammad Ashraf expressed appreciation for the prompt action taken by the School Education Department (SED).
In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, the State President said in their recent meeting with the Education Minister and Administrative Secretary, they had assured that vacant ZEO and Headmaster positions would be filled.
“Today, we are pleased that 80 ZEOs have been promoted, and most vacant positions across J&K have been filled. This is a significant step towards strengthening the education system,” he said.
“ I extend my sincere gratitude to Hon’ble Sakeena Masood Itoo, Worthy Administrative Secretary Shantmanu, Additional Secretary Gh. Nabi Bhat, Deputy Secretary Masood Ahmad Wani, both divisional heads, section officers, and all other officials who made this possible in such a short period.”
Meanwhile, General Secretary JKTF & UT Spokesperson J&K EJAC, Mir Bashir Ahmad, highlighted that a dedicated team of JKTF leaders, led by President Sheikh Mohammad Ashraf, had been actively pursuing key demands in the Civil Secretariat Jammu.
Among these, the promotion of all cadres, particularly ZEOs, and the filling of vacant DDO positions across the Union Territory were of prime importance.
He expressed hope that Headmasters will also be promoted before commencement of New academic session.
UT Chief Coordinator, Rafaqat Malik,Provincial President Jammu Sanjeet Sharma and other Leaders from Kashmir Division also acknowledged the relentless efforts of the forum’s leadership in advocating for this crucial demand. Leaders extended warm congratulations to the newly promoted officers and expressed gratitude to the department for ensuring timely placements.
