Jammu, Jan 6: The Indian Army began the New Year with a heartfelt tribute to its veterans, hosting a meet under the aegis of the Tiger Division in Kadial Village, RS Pura.
The event celebrated the valor and sacrifices of the soldiers and their families, with Subedar Major & Honorary Captain Bana Singh, Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest wartime gallantry award recipient, gracing the occasion.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Tiger Division honored gallantry awardees, Veer Naris, and Veer Matas, recognizing their exceptional courage, resilience, and contributions to the nation. In a moving gesture, the GOC engaged with the veterans, listening to their stories and addressing their concerns, highlighting the Army’s enduring commitment to its veterans and their families.
