55 Bandipora Youth Receive Rs. 3 Crore Support under Mission YUVA

Bandipora, September 20: In a significant boost to youth entrepreneurship in the district, 55 aspiring entrepreneurs from Bandipora were handed over sanction letters worth Rs. 3 crore under the Mission YUVA initiative during the Roz-e-Yuva / Mission YUVA Weekly Login Day event at the Mini Secretariat, Bandipora.

An official spokesperson said the programme, aimed at empowering young innovators, also enrolled beneficiaries on the spot under different social security schemes including PMSBY and APY.

DC Bandipora and the General Manager (Govt Banking and Subsidiary Management) handed over 55 sanction letters amounting to Rs. 3.00 crores among aspiring entrepreneurs of the district. “All beneficiaries were also enrolled under social security schemes including PMSBY and APY on the spot,” Spokesperson added.

The event was presided over by Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Bandipora, Abdul Gani Bhat, and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib.

It was attended by senior bank officials including Ashutosh Sareen, General Manager (Government Banking and Subsidiary Management); Tanveer Ahmad Najar, Zonal Head Baramulla; Sheikh Mohammad Muzaffar, Cluster Head Bandipora; and Shamim Ahmad, Lead District Manager, along with a large number of Mission YUVA beneficiaries.

During the occasion, the DC emphasized the importance of Mission YUVA as a platform for channelizing youth energy into constructive avenues. She urged young participants to actively engage with the programme and benefit from its initiatives.

The General Manager congratulated the beneficiaries, assuring full support for their ventures and expansion plans, and expressed hope that the initial assistance would help them sustain livelihoods, support families, and encourage a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bandipora.

Zonal Head Tanveer Ahmad Najar encouraged the youth to actively pursue their ventures through the bank to avail future financial support, addressing participants’ queries and reiterating the bank’s commitment to their success.

Officials said the programme reflected enthusiastic participation from youth, officials, and stakeholders, underscoring the district’s collective commitment to youth engagement and empowerment.
