540 Agniveers Pass Out from JAKLI Regimental Centre in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 30: 540 Agniveers of the seventh batch successfully passed out from the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) Regimental Centre during an impressive Attestation and Passing Out Parade held in Srinagar on Friday in a grand display of military discipline, precision and patriotism.

Defence spokesperson told Kashmir Convener the ceremony marked the culmination of months of rigorous military training and the formal induction of the young recruits into the ranks of the Indian Army set against the backdrop of the Kashmir Valley.

The parade was reviewed by the General Officer Commanding of the White Knight Corps, who complimented the Agniveers for their immaculate turnout, synchronized drill and exemplary military bearing. The event was attended by senior Army officers, civil dignitaries and family members of the passing-out soldiers.

The solemn attestation ceremony symbolized the Agniveers’ commitment to the values of duty, courage and selfless service. The Passing Out Parade reflected the professional standards and military traditions maintained by the JAKLI Regimental Centre.

Addressing the newly attested soldiers, the General Officer Commanding urged them to uphold the finest traditions of the Indian Army and remain dedicated to the service of the nation. He praised the Agniveers for their determination, resilience and commitment displayed throughout their demanding training period.

He also commended the training staff and instructors for their efforts in shaping the recruits into disciplined and combat-ready soldiers.

In a special gesture, dignitaries honoured the parents of the Agniveers with the ‘Gaurav Padak’, recognising their contribution and sacrifice in supporting their children’s journey into military service.

The ceremony concluded with the Agniveers taking the oath of allegiance and marching past with confidence and pride. As the Tricolour fluttered above the parade ground, the event stood as a reaffirmation of the commitment of the nation’s youth towards safeguarding India’s unity, integrity and security.
