Umeed-e-Kashmir volunteers distribute masks, sanitizers to commuters in Lal Chowk.

Srinagar 02 Jan 2022: In wake of rising cases of new COVID-19 variant, a group of volunteers under the banner of UMEED-E-KASHMIR distributes masks and sanitizers among commuters and locals at Sunday Market area of Lal Chowk Srinagar.

The distribution drive was led by Tayab Sarwar President & founder of Umeed-e-Kashmir.While interacted with the media, Tayab Sarwar and her team laid emphasis to follow Do’s and Dont’s issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and Health and Medical Education Department J&K viz washing hands frequently, use of sanitizers, maintaining social distance avoid participating in large gathering.


She also stressed upon the masses to protect themselves from the pandemic and measures to prevent its spreading. “I also salute doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers who have been working selflessly and relentlessly even at the peril of putting their lives at risk”, she added.
