Thousands Gather at Lal Sahib Shrine in Bandipora for Annual Urs

Bandipora, May 8: Thousands of devotees from different parts of Kashmir gathered at the shrine of Lal Sahib Argami in Argam area of Bandipora district on Thursday to observe the annual Urs with religious prayers and spiritual gatherings.

Devotees began arriving at the shrine early in the morning to offer fateha and participate in special prayers. Religious recitations and congregational gatherings were held during the occasion, with people praying for peace, prosperity and communal harmony.

Officials and local residents said the annual Urs of Lal Sahib Argami is observed every year and attracts devotees from different districts of Kashmir.

Among those who attended the Urs was Imtiyaz Parray of the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, who paid obeisance at the shrine and offered prayers.

During his visit, Imtiyaz Parray interacted with devotees and spoke about the importance of preserving Sufi traditions and spiritual values associated with Kashmir’s religious heritage.

Locals said the shrine in Argam remains an important spiritual centre in north Kashmir and continues to witness large gatherings during the annual Urs observance.
