Teenager feared drowned in Nalla-e-Sindh in Ganderbal, Rescue operation underway

Ganderbal, Aug 23: A teenage boy is feared drowned in Nallah Sindh near Qamaria Park in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.The boy, identified as Mohsin Ahmad Lone, son of Mukhtar Ahmad Lone, resident of Bamloora and student of Qamaria Model Higher Secondary School Saloora, went missing in the water body.Soon after, locals along with teams of SDRF, Police and Army’s 24 Rashtriya Rifles launched a rescue operation to trace the boy. The incident has caused considerable concern and distress in the nearby area.

On receiving information, Indian Army’s 24 Rashtriya Rifles promptly mobilised its resources and commenced a rescue operation in coordination with the local civil administration, police and other concerned agencies.

Army personnel have promptly deployed available resources and are actively participating in the search and rescue efforts. Joint search and rescue efforts are currently underway, with personnel deployed at the site to locate and recover the child.Further details are awaited as the rescue operation remains under progress.
