Senior Congress leader GM Saroori summoned by NIA for questioning
Srinagar, Feb 10, CNS: The Senior Jammu and Kashmir Congress leader Ghulam Mohammad Saroori was summoned by National Investigation Agency (NIA), on Monday for questioning in connection with “terror cases” in Kishtwar.
Saroori, whose brother was among those named for alleged Hizbul Mujahidin links is former Jammu and Kashmir minister the state Congress vice President . Saroori is a reportedly a close aide of Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Media Sources according to CNS have been quoted as saying that his brother in question is allegedly named in the case regarding violence and arson that took place on August 9, 2013, in Kishtwar, name of Saroori had surfaced
All the alleged four major militant cases in Kishtwar during the past one year were handed over to the NIA last year. Reportedly these included the killing of prominent Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO Rajinder Singh Kishtwar
