Seminar, Road Show on Nasha Mukht Abhiyan held at Mattan

MATTAN (ANANTNAG), APRIL 25: A seminar-cum-road show on “Nasha Mukht Abhiyan” was organised on Saturday at Iqra Gousia Public High School in Kehribal, aimed at spreading awareness against drug abuse among youth.

Around 100 students participated in the programme, which included lectures and presentations focusing on the harmful effects of substance abuse. Students addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and contributing to a drug-free society.

In-charge Commandant Zahid Aziz Samoon emphasised the need for collective action to address the issue of drug abuse. He urged students to act as ambassadors of awareness within their communities and to promote responsible behaviour among peers and family members.

Deputy Commandant Ghulam Mustafa also addressed the participants, outlining the social and health impacts of addiction. He encouraged students to focus on education and engage in constructive activities.

Following the seminar, a road show was conducted through Kehribal Mattan market and adjoining areas, where students and officials carried placards and raised slogans to spread awareness among the public.

Organisers said the initiative aimed to combine education and community outreach to strengthen awareness against drug abuse. The programme concluded with a call for collective responsibility in addressing the issue.
