Security Forces Apprehend Terror Associate in Rajpora Pulwama; Arms, Ammunition Recovered

Pulwama, May 2: In a significant security operation, a joint team of security forces comprising Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), CRPF 183 Battalion, and Pulwama Police apprehended a terrorist associate in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The arrested individual has been identified as Mohd Umar Malik, son of Abdul Majeed Malik, a resident of Kachipora Qasbayar, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajpora.

During the search operation, security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from his possession, including one Star pistol, one pistol magazine, two live rounds, and two hand grenades.

Following the recovery, a case has been registered under FIR No. 75/2026 at Police Station Rajpora under sections 7/25 of the Arms Act and sections 18, 20, 23, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Investigation into the matter has been initiated.
