Bandipora, May 2: Newly appointed District President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Bandipora, Dr Zahoor Sofi, on Saturday expressed heartfelt gratitude to the party leadership for reposing trust in him and assigning him the responsibility of leading the party in the district.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, Dr Sofi termed the appointment a great honour and said it was not merely a position but a recognition of his humble contributions and commitment to the party over the past two decades.
He particularly thanked Zonal Secretary North Kashmir and Constituency In-charge Bandipora, Advocate Nazir Malik, for his constant encouragement, mentorship, and support throughout his political journey.
“His leadership and guidance have always remained a source of strength and inspiration for me. I remain indebted to his unwavering support,” Dr Sofi said.
Reaffirming his commitment to the party, Dr Sofi assured the leadership that he would work with utmost dedication, sincerity, and selflessness to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level and serve the people of Bandipora.
He also thanked JKNC President Farooq Abdullah for placing confidence in him and said he would strive tirelessly to uphold the vision, principles, and values of the party.
“With humility and resolve, I look forward to serving the people of Bandipora and further strengthening the party cadre across the district,” he added.
