Bandipora, Aug 10: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), in coordination with local police, on Monday launched a search operation for a 31-year-old man who reportedly went missing in Nalla Madhumati at Nathpora in Bandipora district.
The missing person has been identified as Showkat Ahmad Gujjar, son of Mohd Gulab Gujjar, a resident of Yala Bana Koot, Bandipora.
Officials said the man is suspected to have drowned in the water channel.
Joint SDRF and police teams are conducting searches in and around the area to trace and retrieve him.
