Bandipora Jan, 16: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shakeel Ur Rehman on Tuesday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to finalise the arrangements for Republic Day Celebrations and stressed on fool proof security and other arrangements for the successful conduct of R-Day Celebrations.
The meeting at the conference hall held threadbare discussions of the arrangements made by the various departments for upcoming R-Day Celebrations. During the meeting , the Deputy Commissioner took department wise review of the responsibilities and accomplishments released so far .
Shakeel ur Rehman directed Officers of the concerned departments to ensure all proper arrangements viz Seating , Cultural programmes, Transport & Parking facilities, Power & drinking Water Supply, deployment of Sanitation staff, Medical, First Aid services, fire tenders, Installation of Public Address System, appointment of duty magistrates in addition to Illumination of Government Building on eve of upcoming Republic Day.
He directed concerned officers of the Mechanical and Engineering department to take adequate precautionary measures of snowfall and weather advisories. Rather stressed on foolproof security and other arrangements for the successful conduct of R-Day Celebrations.
Shakeel ur Rehman emphasised on the collaborative approach of all the departments for seamless and patriotic celebration of the Republic Day in the district.
The meeting was informed that Preparations including Rehearsal of parade, cultural events, and other programs are ongoing throughout the district.
It was given out that all arrangements are put in place at District, Sub divisional, block, and Panchayat level to celebrate the Republic Day with enthusiasm throughout the district.
The meeting was attended by ADC Bandipora Umar Shafi Pandit, ASP Bandipora Sandeep Butt, ACR Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Wani, ACP Bandipora Muzaffar Hussain, CPO Bandipora, Officers from Paramilitary and district officers from various departments.
