Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan Meets Former Sarpanches, Panchs in Bandipora

Bandipora, September 11: The Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan held a meeting with former Sarpanches and Panchs of the Bandipora Assembly Constituency at the Congress office here on Thursday to discuss issues related to Panchayati Raj Institutions and strengthening grassroots-level activities.

The meeting was attended by Congress Chief Whip, J&K and MLA Bandipora Advocate Nizamuddin Bhat, Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan J&K Chairman Er. Mudasir Lolabi, Sangathan Incharge J&K Hira Lal Thakur, Congress District President Advocate Sheikh Farooq Habeeb and District Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Bhat, along with other party leaders and former grassroots representatives.

The participants discussed the role of Panchayati Raj Institutions in promoting public participation and strengthening local governance. They also discussed the involvement of former elected representatives in grassroots activities and local public affairs.

The meeting highlighted the contribution of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and the Congress Party to the strengthening of Panchayati Raj institutions.

The interaction also focused on expanding Congress organisational activities at the grassroots level and increasing the participation of former Panchs, Sarpanches and local workers in party and public affairs.
