Awantipora, April 26: In a proactive effort to strengthen community resistance against drug abuse, Police along with community leaders organized an awareness programme at Konibal area of Pampore under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
The event witnessed active participation from local residents and stakeholders, who engaged in meaningful discussions on the socio economic impact of substance abuse, particularly on youth and families.
Speakers emphasized the importance of collective responsibility and urged the public to remain vigilant, promote early intervention, and adopt healthy lifestyle choices.
During the programme, participants were sensitized about the availability of counseling facilities and de addiction services, reinforcing that support is accessible for those seeking recovery.
The initiative reflects the continued commitment of Police and District administration to curb drug menace through sustained awareness and community involvement. Efforts are being intensified across the Police District to dismantle drug networks and safeguard the future of the younger generation.
