Convener News Desk

New Delhi, April 26: The Delhi High Court is scheduled to hear the interim and regular bail plea of incarcerated Kashmir MP Engineer Rashid on April 27, with his party expressing hope that he may be granted relief to visit his ailing father.

Rashid, who remains in judicial custody, has moved the court seeking both interim bail and regular bail, according to case listings.

Leaders of the Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) said they are hopeful that the court will consider the humanitarian grounds cited in the plea, particularly the health condition of his father.

The matter is expected to come up for hearing before the court on Sunday, where arguments from both sides are likely to be presented. [KNT]
