MSME Ministry Field office Srinagar organises MDP on Business Marketing Management at Anantnag

ANANTNAG, OCTOBER 05: The Branch MSME Development & Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Srinagar, in collaboration with the District Industries Centre (DIC), Anantnag, today commenced a five-day Management Development Programme (MDP) on “Business Marketing Management” for entrepreneurs from the manufacturing and service sectors.

The programme is aimed at equipping Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with contemporary marketing knowledge and practical tools to strengthen their businesses, expand market outreach and compete effectively in an evolving business environment.

Prof. Parvez Ahmad Mir, Head, CIED, IUST, attended the inaugural session as the Chief Guest, while the General Manager, DIC Anantnag, presided over the programme as the Guest of Honour.

Addressing the participants, Prof. Parvez Ahmad Mir provided detailed insights into the latest marketing scenarios and emerging trends, highlighting the growing opportunities available to MSMEs. He emphasised the need for enterprises to adopt innovative marketing approaches, leverage technology and build competitive capabilities so that MSMEs can emerge as champions of economic growth and employment generation.

The General Manager, DIC Anantnag, while addressing the gathering, welcomed the initiative and termed such programmes a positive and timely step towards the development of the industrial sector. She stressed the importance of capacity building and continuous learning for entrepreneurs to enable them to effectively respond to changing market requirements.

Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Srinagar, Saheel Alaqband, in his keynote address, highlighted the importance of the five-day programme and its role in strengthening the managerial and marketing capabilities of MSME entrepreneurs. He also expressed gratitude to the General Manager, DIC Anantnag, and the DIC team for their support and cooperation in organising the programme.

The programme witnessed participation of 25 entrepreneurs from manufacturing-based MSMEs operating in the industrial estates of Anantnag.

During the five-day programme, participants will be exposed to various important aspects of business development and enterprise growth, including Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), AI-enabled marketing, contemporary marketing strategies, and major MSME schemes and initiatives for enterprise development.

The programme is expected to provide participating entrepreneurs with practical knowledge and insights that can help them improve their market presence, adopt modern business practices and enhance the overall competitiveness of their enterprises
