MLA Pampore Seeks Opening of Pampore–Khanda Ring Road Stretch to Ease Traffic Woes

PAMPORE, June 18: MLA Pampore Retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi, has requested Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary to facilitate the opening of the Pampore–Khanda sector of the Ring Road for public movement.

The request has been made in view of the inconvenience being faced by commuters due to the ongoing repair and maintenance work on the Nowgam Bypass Bridge, which has resulted in traffic congestion and difficulties in daily travel across the area.

Hasnain Masoodi emphasized that opening the said stretch of the Ring Road on a temporary basis would provide substantial relief to the general public, reduce travel delays, and ensure smoother vehicular movement during the period of repair works.

MLA further stated that such a measure would help ease pressure on existing road networks and facilitate uninterrupted movement for daily commuters, emergency services, and transport operations.

Hasnain Masoodi expressed hope that the Government would take timely and necessary action in the larger public interest and for the convenience of the people.
