Punjab, Oct 12: Lovely Professional University (LPU) has announced a final call for admissions to its Online and Distance Learning programmes for the August 2026 session, with thousands of learners already enrolled across more than 21 distance education and 15 online programmes.
The university’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) offers programmes in management, computer applications, information technology, commerce, sciences, arts and library and information sciences, catering to learners seeking flexible higher education alongside professional and personal commitments.
The distance education portfolio includes undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma programmes such as MBA, M.Com., BBA, B.Com., MCA, BCA, M.Sc. IT, B.Sc. IT and DCA. It also offers BA and MA programmes in subjects including Education, English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Punjabi and Sociology, along with programmes in library and information sciences.
The online portfolio includes MBA, MCA, M.Sc. programmes in Data Science, Mathematics and Economics, M.Com., MA programmes in several disciplines, BBA, BCA, BA and diploma programmes.
The MBA programme offers single and dual specialisations across 12 domains, including finance, marketing, human resource management, data science, business analytics, digital marketing, information technology, international business, operations management, logistics and supply chain management, healthcare management, and banking and financial services.
The MCA programme offers five specialisations: Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Full Stack Web Development, and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (Game Development).
According to the university, CDOE learners can also engage with the wider university ecosystem through campus events, co-curricular activities, expert interactions and hybrid learning initiatives.
LPU said the university has received NAAC A++ accreditation with a score of 3.68 and has been recognised by the University Grants Commission under the First Category of Graded Autonomy. It is ranked 31st in the NIRF 2025 rankings and placed in the 501–550 global band in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027. The university is also ranked 27th in India and placed in the 791–800 global band in the QS World University Rankings 2027, according to the release.
