Kulgam, May 16: In continuation of its sustained and uncompromising campaign against drug trafficking and the narcotics ecosystem, Kulgam police has taken another decisive action against a drug peddler involved in case FIR No. 93/2025 U/S 8/20-29 NDPS act at police station Devsar.
During a joint anti-encroachment drive conducted at Sopat, Devsar; Kulgam Police along with Revenue Department demolished illegal commercial structure belonging to drug peddler, namely Showket Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Rasool Wani resident of Sopat Devsar.
The action was taken after it was established that the said structure had been illegally constructed by encroaching upon state land.
This action forms part of Kulgam Police’s broader strategy to dismantle the narcotics ecosystem by targeting not only drug peddlers but also the illegal assets and infrastructure created through criminal activities.
Kulgam Police reiterates its firm commitment towards making the district drug-free and warns all those involved in narcotics trafficking or supporting such activities that strict legal action will continue against them.
