JKGLTF alleges shoratage of books in schools demands immediate release of pending books
Bandipora, January 01: The Jammu and Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum (JKGLTF) Bandipora on Saturday demanded early release of pending Books to Schools.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, JKGLTF organiser Zahoor Ahmad Lone said despite lapsing of 25 days of winter vacations the students of Ist to 8th have not received yet full sets of free text books from the education department. He said the shortage of books has taken toll on teaching learning process as a number of students are without books and hence unable to continue studies.
Lone said the parents are worried and blaming the school authorities for the shoratgr of books. "parent are worried about their kids as they are not concentrating fully on education due to pending of free text books especially the middle classes which have yet received only 40% of free text books".
Forum appealed to Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) to intervene in the matter and direct the JKBOSE for immediate issuance of pending books without wasting the previous time of kids who have already lost a lot because of pandemic.
