JKEDI Hosts Orientation Programme on Startup Idea Challenge at KU
Srinagar, Sept 1: The Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Business Modelling (CIIBM) of the J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), on Monday organised an orientation program on the Startup Idea Challenge at Department of Management Studies, University of Kashmir.
An official spokesperson said the session was conducted by Syed Wahid, Assistant Faculty CIIBM; Dr. Sameer Jan Bhat, Assistant Faculty CEER; and Faheem Ul Din, Associate Project Manager CIIBM, JKEDI. The speakers highlighted the key features of the J&K Startup Idea Challenge, shared details of the J&K Startup Policy 2024–27, and explained the role of JKEDI in creating an enabling ecosystem for entrepreneurship and startups in the Union Territory.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Sana Shawl, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Bashir Ahmad Joo, Head of the Department.
The event witnessed active participation from students and faculty, while the interactive Q&A session provided participants with an opportunity to seek clarifications and explore potential startup ideas. Faculty members described the initiative as a valuable step toward encouraging entrepreneurial spirit among the youth.
